Freak Show

Plot

Freak Show is set in 1952 Jupiter, Florida, and follows one of the last remaining freak shows in America, run by Elsa Mars. The season explores prejudice, ambition, survival, and the dark side of human nature, combining both real-world struggles and horror.

  • Elsa Mars, the German-born impresario, dreams of fame for herself and her performers, often at great personal and moral cost.

  • The performers, each with unique physical or psychological differences, face exploitation, threats from outsiders, and rivalries within the troupe.

  • A serial killer called Twisty the Clown terrorizes the town, adding a horror element to the story.
